In 2008, North Carolina was won by just 14,000 votes—a victory that Tennessee volunteers helped achieve. By joining other University of Tennessee – Knoxville students to register new voters in North Carolina this spring break (March 18th – March 24th), you'll play a direct role in re-electing the President.
Volunteering is a great way get involved and learn how a campaign works. Young people have a lot to prove this election. 2008 showed the country that young Americans had a voice, that we were willing to stand up and demand real change. And because of our work, that change has become real. Just ask the millions of people under the age of 26 who have health insurance because they can stay on their parents' plan, or the millions who can now better afford a college education.
Groups are certainly encouraged. Supporter housing will be provided for those who attend on a first come, first serve basis. Sign up on this page, and an OFA-Tennessee staff member will be in contact with you about the details of the trips!
