PUTTIN' MY MONEY where my mouth is

Puttin' My Money Where My Mouth Is

I've never done this before. I've never gotten so involved in a campaign, in a political cause. But something changed for me this year. I realized that as a citizen with the right to vote and the right to speak up, I can help change our country for the better. I can help Barack Obama become president because I believe our country needs an inspirational leader at this time. We've spent too many years with presidents that have embarrassed us.

We need someone with ideals and the intelligence, abilities, and people skills to push forward against all odds, against the status quo, against the naysayers. We need someone who can change the course of history, to stop the insanity of war, to not only bring hope to the working poor, our young people, and our veterans, but to bring hope to the world, saying that we will no longer take part in destroying countries and lives.

Instead, we will help other countries when they are in need, but only if we also help our own people with housing, education, healthcare, and jobs. We can no longer think that we can police the world when we can't even take care of our own citizens. And to do all of this, we must change the political process. This is the basis of Barack Obama's campaign. And he can do it with help from ordinary citizens like me, and like you.

So I'm Puttin' My Money Where My Mouth Is. If you're like me, you don't have a lot to give, but I can go out to dinner one night less each month and donate that $25. I've already donated twice and haven't missed the money yet. So I plan on donating every month until Barack Obama is president. I've set my own personal goal on a thermometer to the right, and with your help, I can make that goal.

So won't you join me and donate today, and every month until November?
