Don't refuse or reject the Obama

Why i must like Obama: I don't have white friends.
BB (before Bush), I never would've made a page like this. BB, I never cared much for politics. But for the past five years, i've become increasingly disgusted with my country's government. And totally pissed-off. I can't even handle it sometimes. Seriously, ask Jill. Sometimes, after reading about one more ignorant thing  Bush did, or some new way he raped our Constitution, I rant around the living room mumbling to myself for hours. As of today, if America was a person, we'd be the annoying, steroided meathead glistening with spray-on tan, wearing an unbuttoned silk shirt, bumping into people at a club then saying "you wanna throw down?". In other words, we'd be a douchebag. And I now hold myself responsible for letting that happen. But never again. I'd never forgive myself if i let a non-douchebag (i.e. Obama) pass by without trying to help him get elected any way I could.  

Make no mistake, I'm still cynical. Obama ain't perfect. He isn't going to change the universe. There will be a lot of mistakes. But that fucker is one of us. He gets it. He gets it in the way we get it. He sees different viewpoints. His life wasn't handed to him by rich parents. He's tolerant. He has common-sense. He's funny. He plays basketball and watches SportsCenter, for the love of god. We can finally say goodbye to the old, white, bad-haired figures that have put us in this bad place to begin with. With luck, other countries will actually start to like us again. WIth Obama, we'll be that cool guy at the club. The guy who can dance. The guy who gets girls to come up to him just because he's so damn cool. This guy sips a cool drink even - like a Manhattan with two twists of lime. 

I'm willing to give up five-beers-worth (25 dollars) to help make that happen. To forever wash myself of the gross Bush film that is currently covering my body  ... Obama wil do that. But first, he needs to win Ohio and Texas. Then, he needs to win the general election.
