Barack Obama and I are committed to changing the political process by building a campaign built on a broad base of support from ordinary Americans. No lobbyists, no kissing the butt of special interests that are not interested in what is good for America at large. Not this guy. Those slick, oily, dirty types are feeding at the Clinton trough. And she can have 'em.

I've set my own personal fundraising goal for the campaign, which you can see in the thermometer to the right. It's not a huge goal and I'm not asking for a whole lot. I've thrown some into the pot just to get it started. I know most of you are fighting to make ends meet and, seriously, if all you've got is $5, put it in. Hell, I'll promise to cover your next Starbucks coffee if you want to give a fiver over. (Offer limited to one drink and only those here in Vegas I can realistically run into, aka people I already know.)

So, not to be too abrupt and abrasive (hey, I'm *trying* to change), but will you make a donation to help me reach my goal?
