My Fundraising Goal

Let's do this.  I'm asking all my friends, family, and my blog readers to invest in change in America, by donating to Barack Obama's campaign.

• I've never raised money personally for a candidate.  I've only done it as a campaign consultant.  This year is different.  I need to step up to the plate, personally.
  
• I've donated in little bits and pieces over the last year.  I don't have a lot to give, but what I do have is the ability to ask others to do the same.  Every little bit helps.
• We're in a fight this year that is historic in so many ways.  And Barack is gonna face the worst that any presidential candidate has ever faced.  It's going to take a historic fundraising effort to meet the challenge.
• Raising money at the grassroots is a great way to eliminat special interest influence on politics.  Being on the Grassroots Finance Committee is an innovative new approach to leveraging the 2 million donors who are already invested in Barack's campaign.
• I've got his back.  Do you?

Barack Obama and I are committed to changing the political process by building a campaign founded on a broad base of support from ordinary Americans. This campaign is about putting the people's interests ahead of the special interests, but to do that, Barack needs help from people like you and me.
