This is something new for me.  Sure, i've donated money to campaigns before, and I've dontated to this one, too.  But now I want to broaden my contribution to what I see as the future of our nation by asking others to contribute, too.  The cause is too important to remain complacent and hope that others will take up the slack.

Barack Obama and I are committed to changing the political process by building a campaign founded on a broad base of support from ordinary Americans. This campaign is about putting the people's interests ahead of the special interests, but to do that, Barack needs help from people like you and me.

I've set my own modest personal fundraising goal for the campaign, which you can see in the thermometer to the right.
