Barack Obama at our house in 2004 In 2004, I was fortunate to help Barack Obama in his run for Senate. Even then, it was clear he represented a new kind of politics. At the Democratic Convention, he spoke of the United States of America. He spoke of a common thread that united all of us - and spoke of his unique journey that called him to public service. Today, he's running for President. Our country today stands divided: both parties have worked hard to demonize the other. After repeated scorched earth campaigns, it's time to demonstrate what a campaign based on hope can accomplish. Barack Obama is the one individual who can lead citizens of both parties to a truly united country. Please join me in supporting Barack's run for President. While contributions are absolutely important, please consider joining a local group, volunteering your time and sharing your interest with your friends, co-workers and neighbors about what a new kind of politics can accomplish. Thank you! |
