 My story:

 Me, involved in politics..LOL!  What a joke!  Truth is, I never thought, even as a former Miss Michigan USA, and even with my husband being in the NBA, that anything that I did would really make a difference.  I never really thought (eventhough I voted in every election) that my vote, would make a difference....until now. Senator Obama has found a way to get us all excited about politics and effectively allow us to actively get involved in making a difference in our communities!  It's innovative, it's effective, and it's amazing.  This, and only this will form a 'more perfect union' strong enough to change the way Washington does business.  Sen. Obama will owe NO ONE but US, the people who have funded his campaign when he is in Washington.  This is what has drawn me to his campaign.  After seeing Exxon Mobile make billion dollar profits while Bush and Cheney get richer and Americans get more poor I HAD to do something, and so, I have created this fundraising page, made phone calls, and am even hosting an event this Sunday!  Finally, a campaign and a President that I can believe in. The first President that won't owe corporations when he is in office (he is the ONLY candidate, by the way who can say this), the first President I can believe in!
