With one voice

I never thought I would ever contribute to a political campaign. I always thought it wouldn't matter in the long run and what I did wouldn't make a difference. Quite frankly, I viewed political contributions as a wasted investment. I whole-heartedly support Senator Obama, but really, I thought, what difference can I make? 

Then I heard about a voter in South Carolina who gave the Obama campaign $3.01 and a bible verse. It hit me. In her own small way, she raised her voice to support Senator Obama. In honor of her gesture of support and in honor of what I believe to be the spirit of this campaign and this movement, I would like this fundraiser to match that donation ten thousand times over. One voice echoing another.

As Obama himself said, "One voice can change a room. And if it can change a room, it can change a city. And if it can change a city, it can change a state. And if it can change a state, it can change a nation! And if it can change a nation, it can change the world! Your voice can change the world!" 

She can't change the world. 

I can't change the world.

We can.
