Personal Fundraising

Donate to the Future of America

For the first time in my life, I am excited about a Presidential candidate. Barack Obama is not perfect, nor a saint, but I feel like he's the sort of new, young candidate who has the potential to lead America into the future. He doesn't know everything, but he knows who to listen to, and how to listen. On issues ranging from technology, to the economy, to the war in Iraq, he has solutions to what the Republicans won't even admit are problems.

McCain, on the other hand, would make a disastrous president. Temperamental and impetuous, and a hawk who would get us into more wars, could do even further damage to our economy, and is so out of touch he can't even use a computer.

Obama has opted out of public financing for this election. That means that he's hoping that millions of people across the country can help bring him into the White House. McCain, on the other hand, is using a loophole that allows him to get public financing, but donors are still able to donate to the Republican party, which runs ads for him. Obama will need all the support he can get to keep his campaign running, keep his advertising on the air, and win this election.

I've set a personal fundraising goal, which you can see in the thermometer to the right. It's fairly ambitious given that I'm starting so late, but I'm still hoping to make it. I'd appreciate it if you'd click on it to make a donation, and invest a little bit in the future of America.
