Connie's Fundraising Goal

It's 10:29 pm on November 4th and I'm watching returns after spending the day doing voter protection for the Obama campaign in Aliquippa, PA.  It looks like we've really helped elect the next President of the United States!  Thank you to all who contributed.  To those of you who contributed last fall, many of you before the first vote was cast, an especially big Thank You.  And to all of you who have donated more recently, another big Thank You.  Support takes many forms, and I greatly appreciate the financial support you've given to Barack's campaign.  Thanks also to many of you for donating your time -- for making calls, canvassing, or driving voters to the polls and for reaching out to friends, neighbors and relatives.  But most of all, thank you for your votes.

Barack has the capacity to restore our nation's image worldwide, and to be a great President domestically.  I am impressed by his intelligence, by his humor and perspective, by his progressive positions, by his integrity, and by his ability to bring people together.  Read some of David Brooks' articles in the New York Times talking about Barack's capacity to be a great President and about the need for a leader who can exercise prudence in "governance, the creation and execution of policy..." and Andrew Sullivan's articles in the Atlantic.
