This One's For You

Fellow TPM Readers,

Did someone just say something fantastic?  Wish you could them a beer to show your appreciation?

Now you can!  (An Obama beer, anyway.)

Here's how it works:

• Make a donation of $5 in honor of your avatar of choice. (Multiples of $5 for mulitple beers -- feel free to consolidate a "round" if you're buying beers for multiple people.)
• Make sure to mention your honoree/beer recipient in the box labeled "Send a note to the person whose page you're giving to. They'll receive an email with your text" (That way I'll know whom to credit on this page.)
• Tell them about it in TPM cafe.

Note: If you receive an Obama beer, you are encouraged (but not required) to enjoy a beer in your non-virtual space and toast the person who bought it for you -- or to otherwise treat yourself to something special, if beer isn't your thing.

Note 2: This page/fund-raiser is maintained by CaliforniaPaige.  I'll do my best to keep everything up-to-date, but I won't always be able to manage it.

Obama Beer Tally

• A round of beers from CaliforniaPaige (for: LisB, articleman, Edmund Crankypants, Allsburg)
• A round of beers from bademus (One for Articleman for his great posts, for LisB for her heart, for Edmund Crankypants for the funniest post ever and one for Allsburg since he's from Seattle and wears cute hats, and one for CaliforniaPaige)
• And a round from LisB! (recipients unspecified)
• From workerbee: Payback for buying Genghis a beer, and a brew for CaliforniaPaige and Lis B.
• From barefooted: many rounds of beer for LisB, CaliforniaPaige, and everyone else
• 10 beers for anybody who wants a beer! From jzap.
• 10 beers from Genghis for: everyone who has come to TPM-aholics events, CaliforniaPaige and articleman for work on the fundraiser, and workerbee in appreciation for her good heart.
• 10 beers from Five Borough Man - for Workerbee and Genghis because of their generosity and creativity.  [Ed. note: I think that means 5 each, but you can fight over the distribution.]
• A total of 6 beers from workerbee: for Loki, for being very funny, and for getting too much crap, and for Bruce, just to goad him, a little, and for LisB. so she knows we be cool.  And one for you, too CP, because you rock, and Hilary because her post yesterday was awesome, and BevD. because it's high time some one bought her one.
• Another round from that tireless workerbee: for Laura Jordan, cuz 22 years hurts. Also for Cricket, Billy Glad, Des and Gasket, because they are awesome.
• A round of Obama beers from dijamo in honor of LisB & others I may have offended in my Grounching PUMA Hidden Dragon lady tirade.  Moving forward in unity.
• From CaliforniaPaige for Workerbee and LisB to thank you for test driving the new chat room this evening.
• From LisB to CaliforniaPaige and workerbee.  Just 'cuz. xoxo.
• From CaliforniaPaige: two beers (that's right, a double round) to AM to celebrate finishing up her internship, a round for genghis just for being awesome, and four more to be shared by everyone who's been playing at chat
• From LisB: "One for Bee, of courz. One for Genghis and his godawful shirt (oh, and DUMBO, most especially DUMBO). One for Marquis de Sea to Shining Sea, for the humor, the kindness and the co-op. One for Bruce, just because. And one for Dijamo, because she and I are gonna have a grope hug in Brooklyn, and she should have a beer before she gets near my breath."
• From jzap -- another round! [Ed.: No other instructions were included, so I'm guessing this is in honor of the fundraiser tomorrow. Virtual beers for all those who can't attend the live events!]
• A beer for dijamo from barristaberry to "welcome her to the team."
• A keg of beer from Five Borough Man - In honor of Genghis and Workerbee - Because of you guys and people like you, in November, 2008, Barack Obama will be elected President of the United States of America.
