My Fundraising Goal

As Americans, we dream of a President who is honest, personable, intelligent, and wise.

This election, this year, this time it's about character.

In part, that's because the candidates themselves are so close together on the issues, but also far more importantly because the soul of America is at stake in this election.

We want a leader with courage and integrity who has known the struggles of an everyday American. A lot of people have stopped believing that may even be possible.

I haven't stopped believing. I support Barack Obama because he is ready, willing, and able to navigate the stormy waters ahead, having consistently demonstrated the strength, courage, and commitment to Changing the way decisions are made in Washington.

I began to hope for Change after hearing Barack Obama's speech at the 2004 DNC. After reading his two books Dreams from My Father and Audacity of Hope I knew Barack Obama was the guy that could show us the way, but figured there were too many obstacles in his way starting w/his funny name and black skin and ending w/the powerful special interest groups that have embedded themselves into our  government in Washington DC.

Then, watching from Minnesota the night Iowa stood up for Change, I got chills down my spine; and knew--all the way down to my toes: Now Is The Time for the rest of the country to step up and defend American values.

I've set my own personal fundraising goal for this campaign, which you can see in the thermometer to the right. You can be a part of the One and a Half Million people making this historic movement a reality. Will you make a donation to help me reach my goal? It's easy. Just click the donate button:)
