WE NEED BARACK OBAMA NOW!  We need a President who can improve America’s image in the world on day one. For many of us, Barack combines the best of John and Bobby Kennedy and the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Barack has substantive experience but his real strength is his determination to bring change we can believe in to Washington, DC.

Barack started as a grassroots organizer on the mean streets of Chicago, taught constitutional law, and has been a successful reformer at both the state and federal levels.  As an Illinois State Senator, Barack led the successful legislative negotiations to require the Chicago police to videotape interviews with criminal suspects to protect the civil rights of all involved. 

In 2002, Barack spoke out strongly against entering a dumb war in Iraq! 

After becoming the only African American U.S. Senator, Barack joined with Wisconsin's Democratic Senator Russ Feingold to pass the best lobbying and ethics reform bill since Watergate.  In addition, Barack joined with Indiana's Republican Senator Richard Lugar to capture loose nuclear weapons that might otherwise wind up in the hands of terrorists.

Now, he's facing off against Senator John McCain, who represents a third term for President George W. Bush.

  John McCain used to oppose George W. Bush's tax cuts for the super-wealthy and now supports them.  John McCain said that he expects we will be in Iraq for 100 years and that America will engage in new wars during his term in office.  Even more amazingly, John McCain once opposed the use of torture by the United States government but recently voted to allow the CIA to use torture.   Finally, John McCain chose Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his Vice President violating his own slogan of putting country first. 

Sarah Palin is not only clearly unprepared for her potential job, she actually believes that she has foreign policy experience because of the proximity of Alaska to Russia.

We cannot have another four years of Bush/Cheney policies in the White House.  We cannot have Sarah Palin one 72-year-old heartbeat from the presidency!
