(BTW, the Bush-Cheney bumper-sticker says "1984 WAR IS PEACE" but is kind of badly designed because the lettering's too small and half the people don't get it anyway.  ('Huh?  You're for Bush?')    Still, I like it, in a vomity sort of way.)

     Greetings Friends! 

     Somehow you've stumbled onto my Personal Fundrasing Page for Barack Obama, which is a good thing since Barack & I could really use your cash! 

     As you know, the going market price for a better future these days runs into the millions & millions of dollars.  Yes, it's a lot of money - but look, it's not cheap to change the world!  It's what responsible business owners and public officials call a necessary investment.  Sort of like fixing the big dam every century or so so it doesn't burst and flood the village. 

     Barack Obama is not going to fix everything.  But he is a Fantastic Leader and deserves every ounce of support we can give  him.

     pitter . . . patter . . . pitter . . . patter . . . Truth is I'm still trying to wrap my head around the rather staggering implications of what's happening here.  Your $5 or $20 or $50 contribution is like another raindrop in a constant pitter-patter that echoes throughout this site.  A virtual drizzle of cash that is making possible the pursuit of ideals that seemingly had vanished from the American political landscape.  With the click of a mouse you can contribute to

     Peace.  Equality.  Social Justice.  Democracy.  Sustainability.  Rebalancing Private Interest & Public Good.

     Because that's what this whole campaign is about.  The rest is smoke-and-mirrors.

     In light of the Fierce Urgencies of the moment, and the rarity of leaders of such caliber, it is not an opportunity I take for granted.
