Things are looking uncomfortably close in the upcoming election, so while we are better known for raising funds for toaster ovens and HD digital projectors, this time Jun-Dai and I feel it's time to put our money where our mouths are (we're not known for putting our money into anything other than food, alcohol, or gadgets) and make donations to the Obama campaign. Once we realized that we needed to donate, being convinced of our own infallibility, we concluded you need to contribute too!

How much should I donate?
Much like Mr. Obama, we believe in a progressive scale in which those most able to bear the burden contribute the most. The following table of gross annual incomes should provide a reasonable guide.
Income < $25,000/yr = at least $25
$25,000 < income < $50,000 = at least $50
$50,000 < income < $100,000 = at least $100
$100,000 < income < $150,000 = at least $200
$150,000 < income < $200,00 = at least $500
$200,000 < income < $5 million = exactly $2,300
$5 million < income = You should probably vote for McCain

That is too absolute for me, is there an alternative scale?
Definitely, just use the alternate minimum calculation:

I have already donated, why should I contribute again here?
