I've just returned from a fundraising lunch at which Senator Tom Daschle spoke to us about the fierce urgency of now.

Here's what most drives me forward in my efforts to make sure that Barack Obama is the next President of the United States: 

I think about Wednesday, November 3, 2004 -- the day after we failed to elect John Kerry to replace George W. Bush as our President. 

We cannot let that happen again.  You really CAN help.  This year, we Democrats have expanded our base while the GOP has lost voters from its registers.  We need to make sure we have the resources to (1) protect those new voters from efforts that will be made to disenfranchise them; and (2) get those voters to the polls on Tuesday, November 4, 2008.

OUR DEADLINE FOR ASSISTING THE CAMPAIGN IS OCTOBER 5, 2008.  Please, let's all pitch in and help.  No kidding.
