This year we have a choice between three able and competent candidates. The fact is they are all good people in compromising circumstances. Our country is in trouble.

• The economy is not working for the average American with the wealth gap expanding nearly exponentially.
• Our bridges, roads, schools and other infrastructure is in a state of disrepair.
• The Iraq War is costing us 10+ billion per month and financed by foreign countries, a debt our children will pay.
• The health care system is in shambles for a plurality of the population.
• The deficit is ballooning with rogue foreign nations buying much of our debt leaving us with little leverage.
• Our dollar is falling
• Inflation is rising.
• Our education is falling behind many "third world" countries.
• Oil production will be declining causing worldwide turmoil.

No President alone can fix these problems. What we need is a change in mindset. We need a president that is not set in his/her ways. We need a president that is not yet entirely in debt to the many forces in Washington and the Corporate World.

I am supporting Senator Barack Obama because he is willing to attempt to promote a new mindset. A mindset in which we do not have to rush to war before exhausting negotiations or compromise. A new mindset that entertains conservative, liberal, and centrist ideas where applicable. A mindset to listen, learn, and execute in the best interest of the many.
