Barack Obama and I are committed to changing the political process by building a campaign founded on a broad base of support from ordinary Americans.  We can defeat the big money interests with small money - donations of $5 and $15 and $50 from hundreds of thousands of Americans.

I've set my own personal fundraising goal for the campaign, which you can see in the thermometer to the right.  It is based on the year of my father's birth, and is in his honor and memory.  He passed away the morning after Father's Day, three years ago.  But I know he would have supported the idealism, hope, and change that Barack Obama represents.
