Last fall, I told you why I - someone who is not a Democrat -  am excited about Barack Obama.

This nation faces serious challenges. The last seven years have been nothing short of a disaster. We are overextended financially and militarily. This great nation is in a pinch, and we need a renaissance in leadership to turn things around, rebuild our global reputation, and position us to prosper in this still-new century. A lot of people have stopped believing that is even possible. I admit that I've had my darker moments when I, too, wondered if it was.

But I strongly believe Barack Obama offers the best hope for the renaissance I've been talking about. Over the past year, I've been thrilled to see many others join me and set party loyalties aside to support Barack Obama.

Campaigning on a national scale takes serious cash. I recently put my money where my mouth is and made significant contributions to the Obama campaign. The RNC has a ton of money, and will be spending it in these final weeks to fuel their campaign of disinformation and fear.

As we enter this final stretch, I'm asking each of you to join me and help. Obama is at a serious cash disadvantage and every amount - large and small - will make a difference.
