Registration Deadline
Your application for registration must be received by October 29th.
Poll Hours
Polls open between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. as determined by the local board of civil authority. All polls close at 7 p.m. Voters who are at the polling place at the time the polls close are allowed to vote.
Identification Required to Vote
First-time voters who registered by mail and did not provide a copy of identification when registering must bring a valid photo ID, current utility bill, bank statement, paycheck, government check, or other government document that shows the voter’s name and address.
Absentee Voting
You must apply for your absentee ballot by November 3rd. Any voter can request that the town clerk mail them an early voter absentee ballot.
Early Voting
A voter may vote at the Town Clerk’s office in person any time thirty days before the general election.
Provisional Ballots
Federal law guarantees your right to vote by provisional ballot if there are any challenges to your registration or to your right to cast a regular ballot. In Vermont, you are entitled to a provisional ballot if you are a designated first-time voter on the list of registered voters but are unable to produce the required identification
