Meet and Greet before Senator Obama's speech in Selma, Alabama (Meeting)
Senator Barack Obama will be at the historic Brown Chapel AME Church in Selma to commemorate the Selma-to-Montgomery Voting Rights March and speak at the 11 a.m. service. Come out and show your support!
I want to make it clear that I have no affiliation with the Barack Obama campaign, and that when I say Meet and Greet I do not mean that you will have the opportunity to meet Senator Obama personally. This is just an opportunity to meet other local Obama supporters and represent BarackObama.com.
**Update 2/21/07**
Sorry for the confusion, Senator Obama will be speaking at 11 AM. I am waiting for the Artur Davis camp to release the finalized itinerary for Sunday before making any plans of my own. I have been told the itinerary will be done by this Friday, at which time I will pass that information along to you. Just a little more information about this event, Mr. Obama will be participating in the National Voting Rights Celebration/Bridge Crossing Jubilee. He will be giving the keynote address for the event at 11 am on Sunday March 4th at the Brown Chapel A.M.E. Church in Selma, Alabama. This event is really starting to blow up; organizers expect Obama to draw in 30,000+ people. My plan for this event is to set up a meeting spot for all of us to have a meet and greet before Senator Obama speaks. This will be a great opportunity to meet and socialize with other local Obama suppporters.
Sunday is going to be a huge media event and I hope that we can all represent Senator Obama, as well as BarackObama.com, in a big way.
Also, if anyone has any ideas or suggestions about how to make this event more successful please do not hesitate to message me or call me at 205-541-1505.
More information on location and meeting times to follow.
