Come help register voters at the University District Street Fair (Voter Registration Drive)
Dear fellow Obama supporter,
Apologies if you've already received this message. All the info is the same, but some folks for some reason did not receive it.
Thanks for signing up to help register voter at the U District Street Fair this weekend. We've got great weather and a great mission: to help turn out of the vote for Obama! Now, some specifics:
On Sunday, we'll be meeting at the Washington State Democrats booth located on 42nd Street, east of 15th. When you get to the booth just ask for "Devon": she's the point person for the Obama team both days. We'll be heading out in pairs after Devon gives a quick "registering people to vote 101."
Plan on wearing comfy shoes, put on lots of sunscreen, bring some water and wear your Obama swag: buttons and t-shirts. (One note on this: If you want to work in the booth, rather than walk, you'll have to be swag-free. We're hoping all of our volunteers will work the crowd, though, since the booth is already well-staffed.)
We'll provide the clipboards, pens, and voter registration forms. You can store your stuff at the WA Dems booth where it will watched by WA Dems volunteers, but if possible, plan to travel light. While we'll be meeting at noon, we're glad to have your help for however long you can stay.
The most important point: You must return to the booth before you leave and turn in your voter registration forms, so the Washington State Democrats can keep track of who -- and how many -- voter registrations we are able to do this weekend.
