This is a MEGA opportunity, because of the expected audience of 2 million. We need event coordinators that will agree to meet to pick up materials on Friday, June 6 between 6pm and 8pm at the IBM Atrium (Madison at E. 56th Street) or Saturday, June 7 between 2 and 4pm at the Time Warner Center (Columbus Circle). During your 2 hour or more "parade deployment" you'll assign team members to strategic locations within your assigned radius, distribute and collect registration forms and clipboards. Each team of event coordinators will have a group covering a 6 or 7 block radius including: along Madison Avenue and/or adjacent to the parade route. We will need a large presence at or very near 42nd and Fifth (the kickoff location at 11am). Because of the strategies used by the police for "crowd control" it will make sense to register people before or after they leave parade route (5th Avenue from 44th to 86th). Each event coordinator is asked to commit to a minimum of 2 hour block of time and be responsible for deciding on directing their team members to locations within their radius, distribution and collecting registration forms and clipboards. The locations will be as follows: 1. 42nd & 43rd Street from Lexington to Times Square (kickoff location) 2. 44th to 50th 3. 51st to 57th 4. 58th to 64rd 5. 65th to 72nd 6, 73rd to 79th 7. 80th to 86th Claim your sector and let's make a large dent in the national goal of 5 million newly registered voters!
