Join me in canvassing Berkeley and the surrounding communities of Albany Oakland and Emeryville to sign up new voters. The plan will be to meet at my home brain storm on the best locations to setup tables and then break up into teams of 2 or 3 and go out and register new voters. For people that have not register voters before we can go over the form and send out guidelines on how to fill it out. I will work to contact businesses and locations like the farmers market the flea market ect. to get permission or rent a space to be able to setup our voter registration tables.
If someone has:
• Moved even just next door
• Not voted in the last 2 major (general) elections
• Change there name
• Or just trued 18 then
They need to register so that there voice can be heard in the upcoming general election.
It is a good feeling to sine someone up as a voter for the fist time or the fist time in a long time. It is good for the campaign, it is good for the country, and dare I say good for the soul.
Supplies that are good to bring:
• Obama shirts and buttons
• Obama signs
• Small fording tables
• Clip boards
