Out of state volunteers are needed in Oregon every weekend between now and May 20th. Voters in Oregon have until April 29th to register as Democrats to vote in the Democratic Primary. Get Out The Vote (or GOTV) in Oregon is a little different from past states. Oregon law mandates that all elections are 100 percent absentee. Therefore, GOTV is pretty much constant from when the ballots go out on May 2nd until they are due at 8pm on May 20th.

I can't stress enough that being on the ground in election states is the most important and most enjoyable part of this campaign. Sometimes we lose touch with the on-the-ground aspects of the campaign when we're doing everything from afar here in California. If you've done GOTV before, you know what I'm talking about. If you haven't, then you need to experience it, and this is one of your last chances.
