Two of the great passions of Barack Obama’s life are community organizing and basketball. He often cites his years in Chicago as a community organizer with a church-based group seeking to improve living conditions in poor neighborhoods plagued with crime and high unemployment as “the best education I ever had.” Barack has likewise had a life-long love of pick-up basketball. Regular teammate Michael Nesbitt says, “He’s very good at finding a way to win when he’s playing with people who are supposedly stronger.”
Come out and meet other Obama supporters in the spirit of Barack’s commitment to community organizing and love for the game in our Hoops Action Change 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament!
We will have contests in between games for Obama merchandise – and a special prize for the winning team!
