Formal wear encouraged but not required. We also invite the wearing of military uniforms, ethnic attire, or your working uniform.
Please bring a non-perishable food item to donate to a local foodshelf.
Advance tickets are $20 per person, and reservations are required so that we can have sufficient quantities of refreshments.
Music to include Dorothy Doring, Jazz vocalist. Check out samples from her CD album "Southern Exposure" at her website, www.dorothydoring.com
'Al's Grateful Volunteers,' a 7-piece band, will provide music for your dancing enjoyment. And what kind of music do they do? Well, they've got guitars, drums, and a cowbell and an accordion, so I should be good, and it should be as diverse as we are!

http://democracyforamerica.com/events/31750-main-street-inaugural-ball Hopkins Center for the Arts is located west of U.S. Hwy 169 and north of Excelsior Blvd. Parking is available for 3.5 hours in the Municipal lot just south of Mainstreet - enter via 10th or 11th avenues. 3 Handicap parking spots are available just next to the venue - enter from the alley on 11th Avenue just north of Mainstreet. Lot 800 is also nearby on the street. Go north from Mainstreet one block, to First Street North, and head east one block to 10th Avenue, where the parking lot is on the NW corner of the intersection. |
