CD 11 - Park Slope Petition TRAINING (Meeting)
It is time to start the petition drive to put Barack Obama on the ballot. Now is the time for action that will make a difference. We need as many volunteers as possible to step forward and participate in the Petition Drive. If you can do a lot, great. If you can do a little, great. Every little bit counts. If we want change, we have to make the change happen.
We can start petitioning on October 30 and we will collect at least 1,200 signatures in our Congressional District (NY-CD11). If you want to work on the petition drive, we need you to attend a Kick Off and Training Meeting.
At this Kick-Off and Training Event, we will do the following:
Provide an overview of the campaign and the petition process
Assign petition carriers to teams led by Petition Captains
Distribute petitions
Train on how to collect signatures and witness petitions
Distribute walk lists with names and addresses of registered Democrats broken down by election district
Review the strategies and tactics to collect petition signatures
Provide campaign ID Cards
Provide contact and emergency phone numbers
Provide t-shirts, pins and bumper stickers
Answer any and all questions
