Making Health Care Happen (Health Care Organizing Kickoff)
Rep. John Conyers (D-MI), author of HR 676: The U.S. National Healthcare Act, will be the featured speaker at "Making Healthcare Happen," a community forum on health care reform occurring Saturday, May 30 at Indiana University Southeast in the Hoosier Room, Grantline Road, New Albany. The forum will begin at 8:30 a.m. and admission is free to the public.

Also participating in the event will be Claudia M. Fegan, M. D., Chicago, Past-President of Physicians for a National Health Program; and Rob Stone, M. D., Bloomington, Director and Co-founder of Hoosiers for a Commonsense Health Plan. Rep. John Yarmuth, (D-KY) will be attending.

The event is intended to serve as a forum for the public to express their comments, concerns, questions and related experiences with regard to the current health care system, as well as a call to action for our elected representatives to implement meaningful health care reform. This forum offers an important opportunity for Kentucky and Indiana to share our concerns concerning the current healthcare system and the need for meaningful healthcare reform with each other and our public officials.
