Health Care Rally in D.C. - Free Buses! (Health Care Organizing Kickoff)
Reserve your spot to attend the largest rally for health care in history in Washington, D.C.! There will be free buses leaving from Manhattan (Union Square) at 6 AM (meet up time is 5:30 AM) and returning at 8:30 PM.
*Sign up here with your email address, telephone number, and the name of your Congress Member (check congress.org) in the comments. We can't reserve your spot without it! Please also email your contact info to Naomi.Rothwell2@gmail.com.*
This is the big one. This is your chance to make history by rallying in support of the health insurance plan proposed by President Obama during the campaign and embraced by Sen. Ted Kennedy and the House of Representatives – at the very time when it’s being debated in Congress.
We’ll rally with activists and celebrities from across the country outside the Capitol, but that’s not where it ends. A town hall specifically for New Yorkers to meet with our members of Congress about health care reform will follow the rally.
The rally will begin at 11:30 AM, at the Upper Senate Park (close to Union Station), followed by a town hall for New Yorkers at 1 PM.
Lunch will be provided but please bring food and drink for breakfast and dinner!
Sponsored by Health Care for America Now, NYCforChange and National Physicians Alliance (New York). www.healthcare09.org
