Finish Line Team Meeting (Health Care Organizing Event)
With the House of Representatives 220-215 Nov. 7 vote, we are now closer than ever to passing health insurance reform in this country. President Obama needs us all now more than ever to cross the finish line and bring about this historic change.
OFA’s Finish Line Rapid Response program (FLRR) is designed to utilize our 50-state grassroots strength to quickly, efficiently and effectively mobilize support in the coming weeks during critical moments of the health insurance reform campaign.
There are a variety of tactics Finish Line Rapid Response teams will use, including: calling neighbors to get them to commit to calling their Members of Congress, attending/organizing press conferences, visiting Members’ offices, planning “Thank You” events/programs, etc. Every tactic will be strategic and will take in each state’s congressional delegation and organizational capacity.
Come learn more about the Finish Line program and how to join a team. Becoming a Finish Line team member will certainly be among the most effective ways to contribute to health reform in the coming weeks.
