Moms for Obama National Rally Day, Portland, ME (Women for Obama)
Maine families will join a movement across the country to rally for our children's future by showing our support for Barack Obama on Saturday, November 1st. The Portland, Maine event will take place at 10am on State Street Extension (this is the portion of State Street that runs through Deering Oaks Park.) This is the last day of the Farmers' Market, so if the weather is decent, we should have lots of traffic. Homemade signs that are positive and pro-Obama/Biden rather than negative and anti-others are encouraged. We will line both sides of the street with a BIG crowd, signs and banners. Please encourage as many people as possible, adults and kids alike, to attend. All are welcome! After the rally folks can disperse to the market, park and playground.
