ACTIVITY: Voter Canvassing – Latino Outreach
DEPARTING DETAILS: 2 Pick Up Locations
1st Pick Up @ 6:15A on 1st Avenue between 57th and 58th Streets (East Side of Street)
2nd Pick Up @ 6:30A on 42nd Street between 5th and 6th Avenues (North Side of Street)
ALLENTOWN OFFICE: 917 West Hamilton Street between 9th and 10th Streets, Allentown, 18101
RETURN TIME: PA polls close at 8:00p. We’ll leave Allentown at 9:00p to be back in NYC by 11:00p.
TRANSPORTATION: Carpoolers are needed too to drop off canvassing teams in different locations. Plus, can you take any volunteers?
COST: No cost, buses are FREE!

TRIP DETAILS: Obamanos NYers! Lets ensure we knock on every door and talk to every voter in Allentown to support Barack Obama. Together, we can deliver the Latino Vote and every vote in PA for Obama! Latino outreach is greatly needed in Allentown. Your volunteer effort can and will make a HUGE IMPACT. Invite your family, friends and neighbors. Spanish speakers are urgently needed, but not required. Spanish speakers do not need to be 100% bilingual. We will partner Spanish speaker with non-Spanish volunteer.
What to expect: It is a 2 hour drive from NYC to Allentown. We'll receive training and materials in Allentown and meet local team. We'll canvass (go door to door) in pairs.
What to bring: Key is your energy & passion, plus wear your Obama gear! PLEASE BRING YOUR CELL PHONE and WEAR COMFORTABLE CLOTHING & SHOES. All supplies, basic talking points and training will be provided. It doesn't hurt to bring an umbrella and plastic bags just in case. Don't forget your camera! Food & beverages are on your own.
