Health Care Community Discussion (Meeting)
Healthcare costs are skyrocketing, over 45 million Americans have no health insurance and our investment in prevention and public health is inadequate. As they work to address these problems and revamp our healthcare systems, the Obama transition team wants to hear from us directly. The report from this discussion will be sent directly to Tom Daschle. Our discussion group includes Dr. Mark Horton, CA Director of Public Health); Cindy Ehnes, CA Director of Managed Health Care; Dr. Bill Durston, Emergency Physician; Geri Jenkins, President of CA Nurse's Association; Sara Rogers, Senate Consultant on the CA Universal Healthcare Act.
