Health Care Community Discussion (Meeting)
The Presidential Transitional Health Policy Team, headed by Tom Daschle, is reaching out to local communities to begin the process of reform by better understanding your concerns. They are encouraging Americans across the nation to host and attend Health Care Community discussions before the end of the year. And, Tom Daschle, Secretary-Designate to Health and Human Services, will attend several of these gatherings!
Healthcare is a necessity for all, not a privilege for some. The very ideals that America is built upon cannot exist without it. The most fundamental conditions needed to support equal opportunity and the pursuit of happiness in any democratic society must include access to health care for all.
This is the first time an administration is trying this type of grass roots idea gathering, reaching out and directly involving the American people in their own government. We ask you to make a special effort at this very busy season to attend. Please bring an interested friend, and see if any health care workers, your MD, lawyers in the field or hospital administrators would like to come and be heard.
