Remember how great victory felt last November? You secured the win for Obama in 2008, this November you have the chance to once again take action – this time for health care reform. Take part in phoning Democrats to call on their Representatives to support what the American people support: a health care bill that includes a strong public option.
Join Downtown East, I Support the Public Option, Manhattan Young Democrats, National Physicians Alliance- New York Local Action Network, NYC for Change, We Be Illin' and Young Invincibles as we wrap up the Week of Action by calling House Representatives. It is projected that the House will vote THIS Saturday at 6 p.m. on their bill. This is another fierce urgency of now moment. Calling the House on Saturday is mission critical. Each call that we make gets us closer to passing the bill, reforming our system and insuring that this basic need is no longer withheld because of discrimination and greed.
As if you need more motivation, there'll be signed copies of OFA Campaign Manager David Plouffe’s new book “The Audacity to Win" for top callers!
We’ll be making calls from the upstairs private room at the Irish Rogue – with bar and kitchen available for purchase of food and drinks.
Please remember to bring your cell phone and charger. We’ll provide call lists and up-to-date information on the health care debate.
