San Francisco Organizing Meeting (Health Care Organizing Event)
Join Organizing for America for a community organizing meeting in San Francisco on Thursday, November 12, 2009. This is an exciting opportunity to check-in and discover tools and resources for organizing our community.
With the full House and Senate debating final plans for health insurance reform, we're closer than we've ever been to passing real reform. But to do so this year, we need your involvement -- building support for the President's plan, spreading the facts, and bringing new voices into this debate.
If you are new to organizing and want take action locally,
if you were once active and want to re-activate;
if you took a break from the campaign and election win in 2008 and are ready to jump back in, or
if you are exploring volunteerism and want to make a positive impact in your community.....
This is the meeting that could get you there.
On Thursday night, you'll hear updates about where we are in the fight for reform, learn more about President Obama's plan, and discuss how you can organize to make a difference in your community.
In addition to Healthcare Reform, we will address the compelling work that awaits us to include: Green Energy/Environment and Education.
Together, we can show that the special interests and insurance industry lobbyists trying to block reform in D.C. are not as powerful as the Californians fighting for change.
OFA is reaching out to invite you to join us on this adventure of grassroots organizing.
Together we can promote, advocate and realize the promise of change that the 2008 election brought forth.
We look forward to seeing you there!
