Prince George's County Family Day (Meeting)
Prince George's County Family Day coming July 18, 2009, get ready for a summer that sizzles when Rushern Baker host his first annual Prince George's County Family Day. More than a day in the park with fantastic live music and a wide selection of great food and drink, this will be a day featuring contest, competitions, and celebrations. There will be free kids basketball and soccer skills competitions, a talent showcase for singers, a Sweet Potato Pie contest, a chance to Get Fit & Win (where everybody is a winner), as well as a Books and Arts fair, featuring some of the top-selling writers and artist that just happen to live right here in Prince George's County. There will also be a Grill-Off, where the best amateur grillers in the region face off before a panel of discerning judges. So if you have what it takes, get your grill ready and the cash and trophy could be yours.
Over $10,000 will be given away that day, with some money donated to help people in need, right here in Prince George's County.
