Obama for the Environment (Fundraising)
Support Obama and hear presentations from environmental leaders including Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (named by Time magazine as one of the Heroes for the Planet) and Dr. Michael Oppenheimer (member of the Nobel Prize winning Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change). Hosted by Meryl Frank, Mayor of Highland Park. Evening of Monday October 6. Presentations at approximately 8 PM, Pre-reception at approximately 7 PM (time to be confirmed). 9 Livingston Av; near the corner of Livingston Av and George Street. From the NJ Turnpike Exit 9 bear right out of the toll booth onto Route 18 North. Follow Route 18 North through a light and some construction and then exit at the New Street Exit (a fairly sharp right turn exit). Take the exit ramp to the first light (which is Neilsen Street). From that point you can: Continue straight through New Street, cross over George Street (the next light) and enter the Morris Street Parking Deck (on your left); Or turn right onto Neilsen Street and continue to the Wolfson Parking Deck (which is available after 5pm); Or turn right onto Neilsen Street, go two blocks and then left on Bayard Street, go through George St. The Bayard Street Cultural Center parking lot on your left (this one is just behind Theatre but fills up early) Or continue straight on New Street, through George and Livingston, and then turn right on Kirkpatrick Steet. The Civic Square parkig deck will be on your right. Or turn right onto Neilsen Street and continue to Church Street. Make a left for the entrance to the Church Street Deck. Or continue on Church Street, cross over George Street and proceed straight to the Ferren Parking Deck.
