Knit-In for Obama! (Fundraising)
Join us for an evening of knitting, refreshments, door prizes, fundraising, and some progressive discussion - let's give input for the platform too! The suggested donation for each attendee is a minimum of $10. The first twenty knitters to donate $25 or more will receive a "Knitters for Obama" bumper sticker! Bring your knitting, your checkbooks, and your enthusiasm! Checks will be written directly to Obama for America and I will mail them together in one secure envelope to the campaign on the following Monday. If you cannot attend, but would like to contribute as part of this event please write your check to Obama for America and ask me for my address in time to mail it before the knit-in. Please note: This is a private event. My friend Teresa, owner of Country Yarns has generously offered us a place to meet. The shop will be closed to non-attendees, however we will have the opportunity to purchase yarn with some of the proceeds going to Obama's presidential campaign. Please do not advertise this as a Country Yarns event.
