Near West End Richmond Watch Party (Convention Watch Party)
The evening of Thursday, August 28, 2008 promises to be one of the most extraordinary nights of this campaign. Barack Obama will step on a stage at Denver’s Invesco Field before a crowd of 80,000 – ordinary citizens, delegates, elected officials, and media – and accept the Democratic nomination for President. Of course, the whole world will be watching Barack’s speech on television that night. And here in Virginia we will gather in hundreds of house parties around the state to not only watch the speech, but also to strengthen our neighborhood organizations in every corner of the Commonwealth.
