Join your fellow Atlanta area Democrats to watch Barack Obama's acceptance speech at the largest convention watch party in Atlanta! Date: August 28th, 2008 Time: 7PM-10PM Venue: Amsterdam Bar and Cafe Address: 502 Amsterdam Avenue, Atlanta, GA 30306 Amsterdam Bar and Cafe has over 20 Large Screen plasma TV's and a great sound system. No matter where you are sitting or standing you can clearly hear and see Barack's acceptance speech. This venue has an expansive menu with reasonably priced food and drinks, including $5 Martinis and Margaritas on Thursdays, and unlike most Midtown locations, there is ample free parking. Hosts include: Young Democrats of Georgia, Fulton County Democratic Party, Stonewall Democrats, ZIMA, AtlantaKos, Young Democrats of Atlanta, and others. Don't miss what will undoubtedly be the biggest political party of the year! Our super Tuesday party at this same venue had a turnout of over 500 people, and this event will likely be even better! Directions: From Piedmont Avenue go south on Monroe Dr to 3rd traffic light, then turn right on Amsterdam Avenue and go to end of street in the Amsterdam Walk shopping area. Facility is in the last building on the right at the north side of the rear parking lot. Park and enter in the rear of the building. It is located next to the railroad tracks on the East side of Piedmont Park. From 75/85, take 10th St North to Monroe Dr. Turn left on Monroe. Go to second traffic light and turn left on Amsterdam Ave. Follow same directions as above to locate venue in rear of Amsterdam Walk shopping complex.
