DNC at Solomon's Porch (Convention Watch Party)
On Thursday, August 28, 2008 - Barack Obama will accept the Democratic Party's nomination for President of the United States of America, in front of more than 70,000 people at Invesco Field in Denver, Colorado. I don't have to tell you what kind of history this is. It's definitely a cause for celebration, and since most of us won't be in Denver, join me at Solomon's Porch Cafe in Brooklyn as we watch the speech and enjoy this historic moment together. We'll have a couple of speakers, a live band and most importantly, you know we can't party without a purpose: Bring your check books as we'll be selling T-Shirts and auctioning a few pieces of original artwork. The goal is to raise enough money to charter a bus full of volunteers to places like Pennsylvania and Ohio, to put in work where it matters - Swing States. Hope to see you there!
