Hungry for Change (Community Service)
Food Banks all over the country are seeing donation levels dip to historic lows. In fact, many people who once donated to food banks have found themselves in the position of asking for help themselves. Individuals interested in participating in Hungry for Change have committed to working toward a goal of five bags of groceries, to be dropped off at local neighborhood drop points leading up to the weekend of January 17th.
If you would like to take your participation one step further, please reach out to five friends and/or neighbors and ask them to participate as well.
The food bank maintains a list of "most needed" items -- it is attached below. After the surge in donations during the holiday season, food banks typically see a dramatic drop in donations, and our intention is to shore up the post-holiday drop-off as much as we possibly can. Certainly, monetary donations would not be turned down (checks payable to Marin County Food Bank).
Please drop your grocery donation off at one of these neighborhood drop points or at one of the participating Marin County Change is Coming groups (more info on neighborhood drop points can be found by writing to hfcmarin@gmail.com).
