New Smyrna Beach Volunteers for Change - Food Drive (Community Service)
To commemorate Martin Luther King Day and to celebrate the upcoming Inauguration and Barack Obama's journey to the White House with a community service event, the NSB Volunteers for Change are organizing a food drive on Saturday, January 17, 2009. Food will be collected at 3-4 separate locations and distributed to organizations actively involved in providing food and meals to those in need. This is an opportunity to show solidarity with those who admire the life of Martin Luther King, the ideas of Barack Obama and all those who take a peaceful stand for change in whatever way they can, with whatever means they have. We ask anyone who can to give 2 hours of their time on Saturday, January 17th. Thank you for your support!
Saturday, January 17 shifts:
11 people have signed up to attend the shift at 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM.
5 people have signed up to attend the shift at 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM.
3 people have signed up to attend the shift at 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM.
