SLICE (St. Louis Interfaith Community Explorations) (Community Service)
St. Louis Interfaith community Explorations (SLICE) is a weeklong interfaith youth service day camp sponsored by Interfaith Partnership/Faith Beyond Walls. The week will involve community service as well as dialogue and reflection on community issues.
On Monday morning we begin with a poverty simulation during which participants role-play the lives of low-income families, including single parents, people with disabilities, Medicaid recipients and senior citizens on Social Security. During the next four days, participants will be assigned to various volunteer community improvement projects throughout the St. Louis region.
