Durham Environmental Action (Change is Coming)
How do we move toward more organic,non-polluting, sustainable practices in Durham? Can we become eco-friendly in all our local markets, cafes, and transport systems, utilizing more extensive recycling efforts and alternative energy sources including solar and wind power? How do we encourage small local business to combat the plague of big box stores? (eg. Do we really need a new big Lowes on rte. 55?) How do we keep our green spaces and limit sprawl?
