Gift of Service in Reno! (Birthday House Party)
Calling all Obama supporters in Northern Nevada!
August 4th is Barack's birthday, and the Obama Reno HQ invites you to celebrate by attending a birthday party and giving Barack 'The Gift of Service' by joining us in donating your time and/or money to a local charity in his name on that important day.
Obama supporters all over Northern Nevada are invited to attend the birthday party in the morning and participate in a charity drive that afternoon and evening. Volunteers can come prepared to support the charity of their choice or can sign up to help with one of the charity events being set up for that day.
This is the chance for Obama supporters to show Barack and Northern Nevada that we understand and support his message of community activism. That we believe we are our brothers' keeper and our sisters' keeper and that only through taking personal responsibility for the well-being of our communities can we begin to effect real change.
Tickets to the birthday party are free, but attendees are asked to bring $10 worth of non-perishable food items that will be presented to the Northern Nevada Food Bank in Barack's name.
