Towards a More Perfect Union -- Walk across the Brooklyn Bridge, UNITE FOR CHANGE DAY (Voter Registration Drive)
Begin your day with an early morning stroll across the Brooklyn Bridge, then on to other "Unite for Change" events throughout the day! Citizens for Obama invites citizens of all kinds to cross the Brooklyn Bridge to symbolize the will of the people for "A More Perfect Union". All (the more diverse the better) are invited to walk in unison: Red States, Blue States, all States, supporters of all the Democratic and Republican Primary contestants, Independents, Unions, African American, American Indian, Asian, Boriquien, Dominican, English, German, Irish, Italian, Latino, Polish, LGBT, South American, Lower East Side, Upper West Side and in between, etc, etc, etc........ GET TO KNOW SOME NEW PEOPLE - At 8:30 AM, we'll have a contest for finding the most diverse team of ten that anyone can assemble in five minutes - bring your pens and write clearly. The winning teams will lead the event across the Bridge. The event will also serve as a Registration Drive. Walk starts in Brooklyn at 9AM. Gathering for the Walk starts at 7AM. Register Now. Join us starting at 7 AM on the North Lawn of Cadman Plaza Park at Tillary & Prospect Streets in Brooklyn. We will walk over the Brooklyn Bridge at 9AM arriving at City Hall Park in Manhattan at around 10 AM. A Volunteer Rally will be held at City Hall Park until 12pm. Speakers include, NY State Senator Eric Adams, NY State Senator Tom Duane, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz. Wear Your Obama gears. Bring your friends. Come meet with the Obama ground troops and get involved with the Obama campaign in NYC.
